Devonport Optometrists was established in 2013. Peter Stoute qualified in South Africa in 1981 and completed his British registration exams in 1989. Peter worked in Durban in the same optometry partnership in Durban for 25 years before relocating to New Zealand in 2008. What spectacle lenses are used by Devonport Optometrists

No generic spectacle lenses are used by Devonport Optometrists. All lenses are sourced from either Hoya or Essilor, two of the largest worldwide suppliers of spectacle lenses. All lenses are backed by the manufacturers warranties.

ONLINE CONTACT LENS QUESTIONS

Are these lenses the same as my optometrist sells me?

Absolutely identical! All contact lenses are sourced from the New Zealand registered suppliers.

What happens if I have a faulty lens?

Let us know and we refund you the value of that lens. You don’t even need to return it to us!

Is a contact lens prescription the same as my prescription for glasses?

Contact lens and spectacle prescriptions are different. If you have a prescription for glasses but want contact lenses visit your optometrist for a contact lens fitting.

Do I still need regular check-ups if I order my lenses from you?

Contact lens wear can cause changes to cells and tissues of the eye, and sometimes wearing contact lenses can damage the cornea. Even if you are not experiencing any problems, the lenses may be causing damage to your eyes. Your optometrist will also ensure your prescription is giving you the best visual performance possible. Regular check-ups will reduce the likelihood of damage going undetected.

Can I order if I don’t have a credit card?

Yes. You can pay by bank deposit, or call us on 09 215 9178 and we’ll happily do the entire transaction for you over the phone. Have your lens and payment details handy. Or fax your details to 09 445 8210 or email your order to: [email protected].

What are the delivery options and how long does it take?

Most orders are dispatched within 48 hours of placing your order. If your order is unable to be dispatched within 48 hours, you will be advised of the delay. Normal delivery is free. All New Zealand orders are delivered by Courierpost. Every item is fully trackable.
